The wrist strap testers listed in the catalog mentions utility ground, we have our benches connected to an earth ground. Will the testers work the same on an earth ground as they do on utility ground? - Deena, Wichita, KS
Answer
Yes, in fact Earth ground is preferred when establishing a common point ground versus a power ground so as to minimize electrical noise. Depending on several (electrical) factors at your facility, power ground may be acceptable.
