Question
While wearing non static vinyl gloves and a wrist band. Can you wear the wrist band over the glove or should you have the band in contact with your skin and use ESD gloves? - Anonymous, Basingstoke, UK
Answer
Your last statement is the proper method of grounding while wearing non-static vinyl gloves. You always want to wear the wrist strap snugly over the skin of your wrist to make a sound electrical connection with your body. I’d also advise testing the wrist strap with a wrist strap tester such as our standard combo tester.
