Do we need a 1 Megohm resistor connection between machine and ground? - Anonymous, Malaysia
Answer
No. Refer to the manufacturer for information on grounding your machines or equipment. The 1 Megohm resistor is for protecting the human body, refer to question below. A side note: It is always good to ground all isolated conductors in or near an ESD sensitive work station to minimize unwanted electric fields or charge reservoirs.
