Question
What different controls are needed to meet Class 0 of the Human Body Model Vs Class 1? Anonymous, Addison, IL
Answer
You’d use the same controls (assuming you have an adequate program for HBM class 1), with the addition to possible ionization as well as putting the program under more stringent rules. You can get a better idea by reviewing our white paper on setting up an ESD Control Program. You’ll also want to include the Charge Device Model (CDM) in your program, as this often overlooked in most programs.
